Clarisonic Classic vs. Clarisonic PLUS Review

About a month ago, my sister purchased a Clarisonic Classic from our nearby Sephora, just to test it out, because the Sephora lady highly recommended it. And now, my dear sister is so in love with it that she returned the Classic to get the PLUS. She made me try it several times, and I have to admit, it does have a positive effect on my skin. My face feels so much cleaner after it brushes over with its different speed settings. I can still feel the cleanliness of my skin the next morning. It has already reduced my sister's fine lines and cleaned out her pores, eliminating black heads.

Clarisonic Classic Features/Comes With/Is:
  • $195
  • 2 speeds
  • 1 brush
  • 1 oz. trial sizes of Gentle Hydro Cleanser
  • Refreshing Gel Cleanser
  • Nourishing Care Cleanser
  • 120v AC Charging Cradle
  • 2 year warranty PLUS Features/Comes With/Is:
  • $225
  • 3 speeds
  • 2 brushes
  • 1 oz. trial sizes of Gentle Hydro Cleanser
  • Refreshing Gel Cleanser
  • Nourishing Care Cleanser
  • Universal Charging Cradle
  • 2 oz. trial size Refining Skin Polish
  • 2 year warranty
Trust my sister and me, the Clarisonic PLUS is definitely worth the extra $30. Each brush alone costs $25, so this is a good deal. With the extra body brush, you can exfoliate your whole body rather than just your face, especially if you have ingrown hairs.

Overall, 5 out of 5 stars for both of these!

PS. The new Clarisonic Opal recently came out, and everyone has gone berserk about this new product. Apparently, it smooths out fine lines, especially around the eyes, like magic. I will be ordering this for my mother for Mother's Day, so a review on that will be coming soon!

CHI Silk Infusion Review didn't know what all the fuss about this product was until I tried it 10 minutes ago. My hair immediately became so soft and smooth after I applied a small amount. My hair was already half-dried- when it starts to get puffy- so I thought to try the Silk Infusion to see if it would prevent puffiness, and it does! I ran to my sister to feel my new hair, and she was surprised at how well it works.

The CHI Silk Infusion adds protein to hair, and is also a heat protectant for blow drying, curling, and straightening. It's a leave-in serum, so you don't have to rinse. It is meant to work with CHI flat irons, but it probably goes well with any brand. It comes in 2 oz, 6 oz, and 12 oz. bottles.

The only problem I do not love about this is that my hair feels slightly weighed down by it (but that's what these things do, right?), and when I run my fingers through my hair too many times, my hands get sticky from the serum.

Overall, 4.5 out of 5 stars! Definitely recommended!

Fahrenheit Hair Care System Ceramic Hair Straightener/ Flat Iron Review

This is the 1 and 1/4" Onyx Black one from the Heat Wave Collection.

Model FHT-125BKFeatures:
-Ceramic plates
-Good grip
-Manual temperature setting from 140 - 450 degrees F
-Heats to 450 degrees in 30 seconds
-Lifetime warranty

This flat iron is pretty great; it's a whole lot better than the pink Revlon one (see previous post). I especially LOVE the grip because it is such a drastic change from the last one, where I burned my hands from the non-existent grip. However, there are some minor problems I have with it. Because the grip is so big, the plates are smaller. I figured out that the Revlon one had such a terrible grip because its plates were too long, so that the entire thing heated up. This flat iron is the opposite- it's plates are slightly on the short side. The only other characteristic I do not love about this is that it kind of tugs on my hair at the bottom. It doesn't pull your hair very much, but it does a little.

Other than those two problems, I think this flat iron is a 4 (out of 5) star one. I would definitely buy this for the price I got it for- $35 from Marshall's. (=
